Description:

World Population day is initiated by Governing Council of the United Nations in 1989. The rapidly growing population stimulates rapid increase in usage of resources. It is now an utmost concern for the entire world to pay their attention towards the population expansion that leads to threats to the ecosystem. Many environmental problems, such as rising levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide, global warming, and pollution are aggravated by the population expansion. Various campaigns, seminars and awareness activities are pursued in terms of the promotion and objective of the day.
