World Heritage Day is widely observed around the world that shares the cause of preserving the endangered cultural heritage. The objective of the day is to raise and promote the awareness for the protection of ancient and historical monuments around the world.

World Heritage Day is held on 18th of April every year


Ancient monuments and buildings are the witnesses of ancient history and most valuable assets for the countries of the world. It is very necessary also for the each country of the world that its residents should know about this fact and pay their equal participation in the campaign of preserving these cultural heritages. Therefore, World Heritage Day is celebrated as a collective effort of the communities in the world to make efforts in this direction along with the purpose of the day. The day can be taken as an opportunity to raise awareness about the assortment of cultural legacy and for their conservation. The day celebrates the diversity of heritage throughout the world.
