World AIDS Day is a collective effort to promote the awareness about HIV/AIDS around the world. It is the day when people from all around the globe abide their duties against the most contagious disease around the world. On the day many processions and awareness programs are marked in order to campaign the AIDS awareness movement.

World AIDS Day is held on 1st of December every year as per the declaration from World Health Organization on1988.
The main objective of the World AIDS Day is to bring people’s attention towards the challenges and overcome the spread of the disease AIDS or HIV. The rapid spread of AIDS is the major part of the concern for every country and therefore the World’s AIDS Day holds very important commemoration to highlight the different aspects of the problem and ways in which different groups of people are affected by HIV. The World AIDS Day provides Governments, welfare organizations and individuals, an opportunity to focus on the global AIDS epidemic. In India, World Aids day is practiced with a red ribbon, which symbolizes the disease and the pledge to eradicate it.
