Vallarpadam Perunnal is week long feast that is annually held at the ancient St.Mary’s church located in Vallarpadam Island in Kochi,Kerala.Many devotees and other visitors come to join the fair from all over the state.Devotees affectionately called St Mary as Vallarpadath Amma means who is the mother of Vallarpadam.

State Kerala has maximum communities of fishermen and sailors and it is believed that St Mary is the patron of them, who always keep an eye on their devotees and possess miraculous powers to save her children from dangers of the sea.Vallarpadam Perunnal is celebrated as a thanksgiving occasion in honor of St.Mary for whatever she does for their followers.During the festival days the whole region get the vibration of a grand feast that continues for one week and included all the fair activities.
