The fair is continues for a fortnight and become a amalgamation of thousands of visitors from in and around the country. the major attractions of the fair is teh different artifacts, handlooms and handicrafts specimen and varieties made by th finest artists of teh country.

Description:

Haryana state government and the tourism department of the state are the joint organizer of the mega event.It is a platform for several artists from big and small regions of the country to come and show their best talents.This participation makes the event unique from others and represent it on the international platform for its various diverse ranges.Whether artists, weavers, painters, sculptors and craftsmen any body can participate in the fair from different regions of India.Every year Surajkund mela is organised with a particular theme, based on any different state at one time and the whole ambience of the fair is designed according to the theme.The fair continues with the rhythm of the folklore,songs and folk theatre which all are among the fair glimpses of the show.
The main objective of the Surajkund fair is to promote the Indian handloom and handicrafts through rural ambience.The fair is conducted consecutively from the year 1981 and since then it is providing a strong opportunity to rural craftsmen and artists.Other options of the fair offers its visitors the exquisite and skillful paintings, textiles, wood stock, ivory work, pottery, terracotta, stonework, lac work and grass works. Not only with arts and crafts, the Surajkund mela also attracts its thousand of visitors with various delicious and different cuisine styles.
