Introduction:

Shekhawati festival is the prominent trademark for representing the culture and tradition of Shekhawati region of Rajasthan.The festival is collectively celebrated in region of Shekhawati ie:Nawalgarh, Sikar, Jhunjhunu and Churu.It showcases the glimpses of regional diversity with various cultural programs,activities,rural games,competitions and tours of the region.

Time to celebrate:

Shekhawati Festival is held on 10th and 11th February every year

Description:

The epicentre of the festival is held at the Nawalgarh district where various landmarks itself denotes the pride of Shekhawati region.The clock tower,Roop niwas palace like places hold the decorum and let the visitors able to understand with the heritage.The festival takes places mostly in the month of February which continues for two days and organised by the state tourism department, District administration of the cities.Different activities like one day tour of the region,camel and jeep safaris, farm visits, rural games, cultural programmes, havelis competitions and spectacle of fireworks in the evenings.
