Introduction:

Shab-E-Barat is mainly celebrated with great prompt and enthusiasm by Muslims all over the world.It is believed that Shab E Barat is the night of forgiveness when people pray to god both in preparation for Ramadan and for the forgiveness of the sins committed by them.It is a night of worship and prayers for all Muslims.

Time to Celebrate:

Shab E Barat is held either on the thirteenth or on the fourteenth day in the eighth month of Shaban of the Muslim year.

Description:

According to Muslim beliefs, Shab-e-Baraat is the night when Almighty writes the destinies of all men for the coming year by taking into account the deeds committed by them in the past.Legend says that on this night the Prophet visits each house and relieves the pains of suffering humanity.Among the celebrations of the festival, Muslims decorated their houses, streets and all the area around with lots of lights, they illuminate many candles and light up the whole area with magnificent view of lights.During the night,they cracks the spectacle fireworks which add more festivity among the atmosphere.Special food items like savaiyyan is prepared and distribute among the near and dear ones.Other sweets and delicious items are prepare and eat combinedly by the family members.Charity works are also perform by many people where food, clothes and other necessary items distribute among the poor and ill people.Recitation of holy Quran, fatiha perform by the members.The festival comes before the fifteen days of Ramadan beginning.
