Every year Ramdevra fair is observed large number of visitors in the village of Ramdevra,located around 12 Kms from Pokhran,Jaisalmer.Baba Ramdev was the famous saint who took birth in Tanwar Rajput family and the holy place of Ramdevra is the Samadhi place of the saga.

Ramdevra fair is held during the Hindu month of Bhadon Sudi 2 to Bhadon Sudi 11(September)

Description:

Baba Ramdev was known for his miraculous powers and contribution towards the poors which made him God of needy and sufferers.He is equally worshipped by both Hindu and Muslim community and his samadhi temple is visited by lakhs of people every year.The huge procession of different followers is usually seen in the days of Ramdevra fair when the place is become the centre of utmost devotion and belief.Hindus observed him as the incarnation of Lord Krishna and Muslims too pay their homage to him. After the conscious exit of Ramdev in 1458 A.D. the place of Ramdevra is converted into a great pilgrim centre where the followers of baba attracted by the Baba’s fame and in search of peace visited the Samadhi place. They firmly beileve that their wishes will surely be fulfilled by their deity.Large processions, Padyatras are organise from different places to the venue Ramdevra, associated innumerable followers from all over the country.
