Natyanjali Dance Festival is a five day long dance and music festival whish is held every year in the cultural place of Thanjavur. The Natyanjali festival is dedicated to Lord Shiva who is also called Nataraj, and organized within the premises of Shiva temple in Thanjavur. The major attraction is the venue of Chidambaram near the Bay of Bengal where the grand dance festival takes place.
Dancers from all over the India come and participate in the festival and the festival is too not constraint for renowned artistes but allowed all enthusiastic artistes to perform.The grand festival of the Natyanjali Dance festival is arranged by The Natyanjali Trust, Chidambaram, The Department of Tourism, Government of Tamil Nadu and The Department of Tourism, Government of India. The festival also attracts many tourists from outside and inside the country to get familiar with the rich culture and tradition of state Tamil Nadu.
