May Day is observed to be as the International Workers Day all around the world. It is also called as Lobour Day in some other countries, which is celebrated in huge processions, debated, seminars by the various work unions and groups in order to show the strength of workers. In India it marks the spring festival whereas in other countries of the world, it is a public holiday.

May Day is held on 1st of May every year.
Along with other countries of the world, in India, May Day is celebrated as the Lobour Day. The origin of commemoration is started from 19th century when US labour movement’s dates back to May1, 1886, when several workers union across the USA went on strike in order to fulfill their demands including a standard workday of eight hours.
From then the day was specifically chosen as a day for demonstrations, parades, and speeches to show the union and strength of the workers
