Martyrs Day is a tribute to those great martyrs of the country India, who has sacrificed their lives towards the nation in order to serve their country. It was also the same day when, the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi was felled with an assassination. All over the country, the two minutes silence is observed in memory of the martyrs at 11 a.m.

Martyrs Day is an annual observance in India, to pay the sincere gratitudes to all the martyrs of the country. The day is also marks the assassination of the great only father of our country, who is loved by everyone for his simplicity and known to be as the Messiah of peace. He worked throughout his life for establishing peace, he was also the great supporter of non violence and truth. Every one called him “Bapu Ji” for the affection and love that people have for him. Till now people around the world follow his teachings and way of peace and non violence.
On the particular day special programmes are organized, dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi where various religious, political and spiritual leaders take part in the ceremony and the day is observed with floral tributes, devotional songs offered with a musical tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and other Martyrs of the country.
