Every year the Joranda Mela hosting thousands of people which held annually in the place Joranda, located in Dhenkanal district of Orissa. The fair is become the grand witness of belief and faith during the Magh Purnima. The fair is mainly the festival of Alekh or Mahima dharma religion which continues for three days. It is also known as Mahima Mela.

The Joranda Mela is held on the fifteenth day of the bright half of month Magh (February).
The fair is largely famous among those who want to involve themselves in spiritual poers. The fair is the venue place for the people from all over the country who wants to initiate the bairagi to an apara sanyasi, according to Mahima community this is the supreme caste among all the disciples. Here the Mahaima sanyasis gather to worship the Mahima Gosain’s samadhi peetha.
People who congregate here for the fair are taught how to achieve nirvana. Since 1874, this fair is being held every year, where apart from spiritual knowledge other activities like havan/yagan in the ‘Yajnan Kund’ are also observed.
