Shankaracharya Jayanti is the birth anniversary of Guru Adi Shankaracharya who is popularly known as Jagatguru. He was born in 788 AD in a brahmin village of Kalady in state Kerala. who is a great scholar, philosopher of not only Hindus but also in other religions of the world.

Shankaracharya more commonly known as “Shankara” was a great Hindu Saint and
supreme philosopher. As per the myhts he was the incarnation of Lord Shiva. He spreaded the light of awakening through his teachings, facts and spirituality and became the first who invaded the true concepts of Aatma, Paramaatma, Vairagya and Moksha. These four pillars considered as a foundation of Hindus devotion and plays an important role in making understand the religion Hinduism. He even wrote many sculptures specially commentaries on four Vedas and Puranas. He also was the founder of various Shakti Peeths and Maths around the country. The Shankaracharya Jayanti is celebrated in all over the country by his many disciples and followers all over India. It is celebrated with great honour and fervor where the celebrations attracts large numbers of devotees.
