Bhavnath fair is observed to celebrate the festival of Mahashivaratri in the Bhavnath Mahadev temple. The ancient temple is situated in the Junagarh district of Gujarat. The Bhavnath fair is lasts for three days holds all Hindus customs and myths. The Naga sadhus, sages and other devotees come to place to participate in all the divine activities during the fair.

The Bhavnath Fair is the main festival on the occasion of Shivaratri. There is a wonderful atmosphere because of the participation of all people from different community. The three day festival starts from the decoration of the temple, welcoming the thousands of devotees from across the country. The Bhavnath Fair is held on the adjacent ground of the temple where the sages, other devotees from different corner of the country come to participate the occasion. The ‘naga bavas’ or naga sages move towards the temple on elephant’s back to witness the maha puja. It is believed that Shiva himself had visited the shrine during the festival and this place. The fair takes a holy shape with devotees, sages and spiritually elevated souls. In the fair different stalls give the visitors to buy the local handicrafts and other items.
