Maharana Pratap Jayanti is the occasion of pride and elegance for the people of Mewar. The festival is most popular among the Rajputs of Rajasthan which is mainly celebrated in Rajsamand district of Rajasthan every year. It was the birth date of Maharana Pratap.

Description:
Maharana Pratap was the pride ruler of Mewar district; he belonged to the Sisodia clan of Suryavanshi Rajputs. His birthplace was Kumbhalgarh fort in Rajsamand district which becomes remarkable during the celebrations along with Haldighati, where the famous battle held between Maharana Pratap and Mughal Emperor Akbar. Apart from traditional rituals, other cultural activities also performed during the celebrations of Jayanti.
